sickness, Walmart, and a gross thing.

TODAY

good: I'm alive.

bad: I woke up at 6:50am. that. is. so. early.

bad: my sinuses feel like death. I'm getting sick :(

good: got ready in record time :]

good: it was just cold enough at work :]

good: went home and took a 2 hour nap before math.

bad: went to math.

good: Alexis actually had her phone with her.
for the second time in her whole existence.

bad: math.

bad: ate lunch. I hate the dining hall.

good: had a 2 1/2 hour break, which I filled with Pinterest, journal writing, and some light homework.

bad: went to english.

bad: forgot to do the journal question. oops :]

good: went home.

good: went to Walmart with Tommy. (you're a lifesaver.)

good: I'm not going to starve this weekend because the dining hall is closed for 4 days straight. (NOT THAT I EVER WANT TO EAT THERE AGAIN... keep reading)

good: Tommy pushed the cart. it was defected. lolz.

good: got straws.
I need them because I hate drinking drinks with ice without a straw.
I have really sensitive teeth, okay?

bad: forgot to get Apple Jacks. dang it.

good: my room smells like apple spice now :]

bad: lightbulb burned out again.

bad: went to dinner. there was nothing to eat, so I settled on a measly bowl of peaches and cottage cheese (it's delicious).

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, excuse me???

that is an insect.
swimming around in my peaches.

I am so disgruntled.
and guess what they gave me as a peace offering?

A FREE MEAL.

are you kidding me? you're kidding me right now.

wouldn't that make you never want to eat there again?
yeah, me too.
only here's the thing: I have no choice.
awesome.

Thunderbird Circle Dining Hall
hairs: 2
insects: 1

so I had a bowl of fruit loops, even though I'm lactose intolerant. there were just no other choices.

good: it's fall break. well, almost.
one more day of doing important things.

bad: time goes really slow when you want it to go really fast.

hmmmm... let me end on a good note.

good: I'm still alive.

THE END.

college nutrition.

eating healthy is not an easy task. which is why I don't.
it's a good thing I have the job that I do, otherwise "freshman 15" would be a huge understatement.
let me tell you a little something about the "T-Bird Circle", aka the dining hall.

here are my choices for lunch and dinner:
noodles with white sauce
noodles with red sauce
hamburger
fries and/or onion rings
mashed potatoes (sometimes)
gravy
vegetable of some sort
mystery meat
rice
"sandwich station"
salad bar (which doesn't apply to me, on account of: I hate salad. I always have and I always will.)

EVERY DAY.
I'm not even lying.
it gets old.

breakfast is better. it's the same thing every day, but I love breakfast, so it's okay.
that rhymed.
also, they have soft serve ice cream. but every time I eat it, I freeze to death. okay, I could never actually die from that, but I get really cold. and I hate being cold.

oh. here's another thing about the wonderful dining hall:
they don't wash their dishes.
very well.
I'm convinced they put everything on a conveyer belt and run it through a miniature car wash.
I cannot even tell you how many times I have picked up a spoon/fork/knife and had to put it back because there is a piece of old lettuce stuck to it.
gross.
I'm going to write a strongly worded letter and put it in the "suggestion box". I tried to recruit my friend Alexis to help me write a bunch of notes in different handwriting so that it looks like more people are complaining about this, but apparently that's not her idea of a fun activity. :)

I actually prefer to eat in my dorm room.
I am blessed to have a microfridge.
micro because it's miniature.
micro because there is a microwave on top.
:)
in my room, I have the following food items:
-half a box of ramen noodles. a staple for the starving student.
-6 packs of instant oatmeal. fruit and cream. yum.
-Apple Jacks. not really though. the Great Value knock-off. they're just as good, and I'm poor.
-"honey spins" aka honey nut cheerios.
-"whole wheat grain cereal"... equivalent to plain cheerios. which are disgusting. which is why I also have...
-a tupperware full of sugar.
-pop tarts
-chocolate/peanut butter granola bars
-stale potato chips that expired on sep26. I'm terrified of expired food.
-vanilla cream cookies
-oatmeal cream pies. I'm obsessed with cream, I think.
-cinnamon graham crackers
-peanut butter m&ms :]
-other various candy. including smarties :]
and in my fridge/freezer...
-2 microwave dinners. I forgot what they are.
-microwavable corn
-........Ben & Jerry's Cake Batter ice cream. I'm addicted.
-popsicles. the kind with 2 sticks :)
-a bagel
-not enough strawberry cream cheese for that bagel
-cream cheese frosting... holy crap, again with the cream...
-my mother's homemade raspberry jam, which I eat with a spoon. ask my roommate. it's like candy.
-my mother's homemade salsa
-teensy tortillas and shredded cheese for quesadillas
-water bottles. some with "orange early rise" drink mix.
-string cheese
-an old orange that I stole from the dining hall...

I'm going to die from malnutrition. Okay, I probably won't die. maybe be hospitalized...

bye.
