new blog!

mostly, I'm sick of studying. and also, I was sick of my blog.

so I changed it.

it's cute, right?

but now I'm having anxiety because all of my previous posts are in courier font.

so I'm going to have to go back and edit them all to be this font.

I know, I'm crazy.

if there are any blog smart people out there, tell me if there's a way to do them all at once.

also, I deleted some tabs, so now it just looks.. weird.

I'll fix it.

anywho, my life consists of 7 hours of work and 3-4 hours of study e'ery day.

it's exhausting, but it's good because it keeps me busy.

the bachelor is what I look forward to every week. 

read this girl's recaps of the shows. they are hilariously cynical. 

also, I miss these girls.

study study study

I have some issues with studying.

my attention span only lasts for about 3 minutes while reading a textbook, but it has no limits when I'm on the Internet doing worthless things.

I've come up with a plan though.

I have incentives.

it's going to take self control, which I am lacking, but I think I can do it.

Monday: if I study for 3 hours, I get to watch the bachelor WHILE doing math homework.

Tuesday: if I study for 4 hours, I get to watch new girl and one hour of Internet. (not including Skype :])

Wednesday: if I study for 4 hours, I get to watch an episode of monk.

Thursday: if I study for 5 hours, one of which being math, I get to watch the office and pin things.

Friday: if I study for 2 hours, I get to do whatever the heck I want. which ultimately means watching a movie or 5 episodes of monk. or both.

Saturday: library time. from 11-4. then the rest of the day? math homework and Netflix.

Sunday: no homework on account of: it's the sabbath :)

I'm going to try it for one whole week.

and I probably won't blog.

it's January 19th already? what the cuss.

this week has been pretty fantastic so far.

on Tuesday, me and Kate went on an adventure that consisted of:

driving the length of Cedar City,

trying to find DI (Deseret Industries) 

discovering our new favorite store: Family Dollar

we got 5 puzzles from that place.

they're going to provide us with hours of entertainment.

finding DI, which was a huge disappointment on account of: it's like 1/12 the size of every other DI in the world.

Walmart for like 8 years.

then Cafe Rio.

it was a fun time.

oh. oh. so while Gabe was home in December, we got our pictures taken, remember?

remember how I said I would post more?

well, they got here. and they're amazing.

yesterday, we went back to Family Dollar to get a few things.

it's the best store. and it's like a block away from my house.

we bought a lil' table to put our giant microwave (The Beast)

on to maximize counter space in our kitchen.

we didn't have the right tools.....

so it's kinda wobbly, but it works.

right now I'm in the living room. 

it's loud. I wish I didn't have to work in 29 minutes.

today, I saw a male wearing flip flops.

I need more food.

I miss Orem.

I dropped a class.

now I have to return my textbook.

I think my foot is broken.

all I want to do it paint by numbers and watch Monk.

good thing it's a 3 day weekend.

I need to go to Walmart.

I have interesting things to say.

haha, not.

yesterday, I talked to my best friend Melanie on the phone for 36 minutes. it was great.

here is a little snippet of our conversation:

me:

I wish we were twins.

and we go to a made up college 

because no school is good enough for me.

and we're roommates.

and we live in a little cottage across the street from campus.

and both of our boyfriends live by us.

and we have unlimited money.

last night in Orem

can you see the terror in my eyes?

worst dentist visit ever. I cried :( and I was only breathing in laughing gas through one nostril on account of: my nose was stuffed up. and the dentist had to put his jacket on me because I was so cold I was shaking...

I'm such a drama queen.

not a great day.

I actually slept for multiple hours last night. I haven't slept through the night for 3 nights. because I can't breathe good. I feel like a newborn.


today, I went to the dentist. also, we switched dentists. and I don't enjoy change. so that just added to the suckiness.

I'm terrified of the dentist. I get anxiety when I go.

also... I cry every time. even cleanings. I didn't cry today though. that's just because the hygienist already thought I was crazy. I didn't want them to judge me.

I have 3 bloody cavities. THREE. REGARDLESS of the fact that I faithfully brush and floss twice a day, sometimes more. I don't know how this happens. I always have cavities.


so... I have to go back to that place tomorrow morning to get them filled :'( :'(
I hate my life.
I'm so scared.
I hate pain (shots). 
and gross tasting things (rubber gloves and metal and tooth shavings)
and gross smelling things (laughing gas and tooth shavings)

after learning this terrible news, I went to the store with my mother. we went to the dry cleaners. which is right next to Animal Ark.
so I thought it would make me feel better to go in and take a peek at the kittens.


there were no kittens.


even worse, in one of the cages that, on a normal day, would hold a tiny kitty or puppy, THERE WAS A GIANT IGUANA.
I hate lizards. amphibians. all of them.


so... bad day.


there were a few good things though.


roughly 5 hours of Monk.. I'm addicted to television.


and. I ordered my textbooks.


and a Skype date with Gabe :)

January second, just like I promised.

well hello there, people. whoever you are.

I promised that I would blog today, so even though I really don't feel like it, I'm going to keep that promise. you're welcome.

the past 13 days have been uh-may-zing.

there's a problem though. I can't remember what we did on which day. so I'm just going to mash it into an unorganized mess of stories and pictures and music. yay!!

let's get started. ahem.

December 20, 2011? best day of my life. here's why:

I woke up way too early to drive to the airport. 

it was the most exciting drive of my life.

we had to wait in the airport for 30 minutes. it was rough.

but then this happened:

I screamed when I saw him coming down the escalator :)

and this picture sucks, but it's pure joy.

the remainder of this day consisted of hugging, cuddling, kissing, taking pictures, laughing, and being happy :)

 also, Gabe did my hair... heh :)

we had so many adventures :) 

we had a list of things that we needed to do before Gabe left again. and we did them all :) except for drink hot chocolate. because it's basically still summer here. and go to Comedy Sportz. because..... we just didn't. oh well.

lessee, lessee...

oh, christmas. oh yeah.

christmas was great. it was a fun family time.

on christmas day, we went to church. 

and then we all changed back into our pajamas :)

and we opened presents :)

it wasn't that exciting, on account of:

half of my presents were from myself, and I wrapped them.

heh.

my presents consisted of kitchen supplies and gift cards.

and food.

and a paint-by-numbers. 

which I love.

on christmas night, we went to my grandma's house and ate dinner.

and partied. and opened more presents.

then I went to Gabe's house and we exchanged gifts :)

he is the best :)

he got me this pocket watch :)

and some gift cards to my favorite places :)

I love that guy :)

so, christmas was enjoyable :)

hmmm.. some other things that happened:

we shot things with my rubber band gun :)

we went to temple square :)

double date!! cute. cold.

we visited Alyssass.

she wanted to meet Gabe.

plus, we had to exchange gifts.

unfortunately, I do not have a picture of this event.

it was awesome, except for that place is for babies.

it was terrifying.

and I'm pretty sure the nice fish lady heard me asking if 

they were bad, because she came on the loudspeaker and announced

that the stingrays were "perfectly harmless".

ha.

it was slimy.

also, Melanie got her hair stuck in the door, like a noob.

we went bowling with a bunch of friends :)

and I owned everybody.

not really.

we went to kneaders and had the most delicious french toast ever.

yummmmm :)

we went on a roadtrip to Ogden to watch a football game :)

and to eat delicious pizza :)

and so I can't really breathe that good.

and it sucks.

so for the next 6 days are going to consist of 

watching Monk

and eating Ben & Jerry's
