that's my job. I walk around parking lots and write tickets for the idiots who think that they are the exception to the rules.
it's...... alright.
there are things that I like about it and things that I detest about it.
things I like about my job:
-works with my schedule.
-I get exercise. I would never exercise otherwise, because I hate physically strenuous things.
-I get paid actual money. can't argue with that.
the people I work with are great.
-45 minutes is equivalent to 60 minutes, so that I can get to class on time.
-I get to listen to my ipod (which I love), or listen to audiobooks (which I also love) for hours.
things I hate about my job:
-I have to do it REGARDLESS of the weather outside. I have only experienced the extreme heat, and let me tell you, it is not enjoyable. I have developed some pretty weird tan lines. apart from the one on my wrist, from my watch. that one I love :] I am scared for the winter months.
-ummmmm, that's the only con. but it's a big one. so it's even.
today was the perfect weather for ticket writing...
during my first shift, I almost got to boot a car (which is something I really would like to do). too bad the person had paid their tickets. dang it. I wrote a $125 ticket for a car in a handicap stall WITHOUT a permit. right before I put it on the windshield, a little old lady hobbled over to me and said she has a handicap permit, but she forgot to put it up... I felt really bad :( (I love elderly people)
there was nothing I could do. so she took the ticket and started cursing under her breath... sorry little old lady :(
it was an eventful day. for a ticket writer.
tonight is "Bread & Soup" night. $1 and a can of food (or in my case, a package of Ramen Noodles) for all you can eat bread and soup. it's a dream come true!
okay, bye.
